Coalition awards employers that encourage breast-feeding at work

The Merced County Breastfeeding Coalition gives the Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace Award to employers that establish programs encouraging mothers to breast-feed at work. California law requires that employers provide space and time for breast-feeding mothers, and employers who win the award are "exemplary models of supporting breast-feeding in the workplace, regardless of their company size," says Emily Lindsey of the California Breastfeeding Coalition.
