Dermatologist Jennifer Linder says certain products help reduce the signs of aging. Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is the most important step to keeping skin healthy, she says. Products containing L-ascorbic acid and blends of antioxidants can be used during the day to protect the skin. At night, products containing retinol, retinaldehyde and retinyl palmitate are more gentle alternatives to retin A, she says.
