Sustainable roads made from recycled tires and aggregate

Remove the sidewalls from tires, lay them side by side, add aggregate and you get Mechanical Concrete, a "solid, immovable mass" that can be used in heavy-duty roads that carry construction equipment. West Virginia-based Reinforced Aggregates, which developed the technique, says construction costs using this method are up to 50% less than conventional technologies.
