Whole Foods brings animal-welfare labeling system to Canada

Whole Foods Market is bringing to Canada a system used in the U.S. that labels meat based on how the animal was raised. The retailer does not purchase meat from suppliers that do not meet at least the lowest level of the five-rung, color-coded system for animal welfare.
