Work on $1B Orlando-to-Miami passenger rail could begin next year

Construction on the proposed $1 billion passenger-rail project that would link Orlando, Fla., to Miami could start early next year, according to Florida East Coast Industries. The "All Aboard Florida" project will use debt and equity financing to fund the private project, which is expected to create 6,000 construction jobs. "After completing our due diligence we have decided to go through with it," said Husein Cumber of Florida East Coast Railway.
