Alliance to use EMRs to address preterm live birth risks

A partnership has been formed between Inova Fairfax Hospital's Inova Translational Medicine Institute and GNS Healthcare to design and launch computer models that will use EMRs and next-generation sequencing technology to predict preterm live birth risks. "We will build models that can document the complex interactions underlying preterm birth. These models will create new ways for clinicians and scientists to understand these interactions and will accelerate the discovery of new diagnostic tools and treatments for this condition, as well as other complex conditions," said GNS Healthcare CEO Colin Hill.
