Deteriorating door-actuator damping and retaining rings for the main landing gear are blamed for the recent emergency landing in Rome of a Wizz Air Airbus A320, according to this article. The FAA is now fast-tracking an airworthiness directive requiring inspections for this fault and a combination of others that led to the June incident.
