Emerging Objects to produce 3D rooms, buildings

California-based Emerging Objects is looking to fabricate a 3D room by the end of the year. The firm uses a Z-corp powder-based 3D printer that adds a liquid binding solution to bond layers of powdered material to form solid objects. Local materials such as salt, pepper, recycled paper and wood are used to form the objects. In the future, the firm plans to team up with a U.K. company to print entire buildings.
