Fannie Mae will send Treasury $10.2B as recovery continues

Fannie Mae's second-quarter earnings, at $10.3 billion, were nearly double last year's and marked the sixth consecutive quarter of profitability. The housing giant will return $10.2 billion to the Treasury Department as repayment for its 2008 rescue. Since it was bailed out, Fannie Mae has remitted $105 billion to the government.
