Nurse interventions reduce discrepancies in diabetes foot exams

Data presented at the American Association of Diabetes Educators meeting revealed an intervention carried out by a nurse facilitator in a primary care setting helped boost foot exams in patients with diabetes. The researchers said collaborations between primary care physicians and nurse facilitators could help improve patient care and outcomes.
