Report: Android to hit 1 million malware mark next year

The flood of malware targeting devices running on Google's Android operating system is poised to reach a milestone next year, with Trend Micro predicting 1 million malicious applications will be in rotation by 2014. The surge in Android-related malware was punctuated recently by the discovery of a master-key vulnerability that exposes 99% of all Android devices to potential manipulation, the report said.
