W.Va. requires alternative methods for serving breakfast

West Virginia is in the early stages of implementing a statewide school-nutrition law under which all students would have access to free breakfast and lunch. Under the law, districts also are required to serve breakfasts in alternative ways to help increase participation. In one district, school nutrition professionals say they have seen an increase in meal participation since they began serving breakfast in the classroom.
