With office space going vacant, Boston projects shift to luxury condos

With occupancy rates for office space lagging in the downtown Boston market, construction activity is shifting to focus on luxury condominiums in new and existing buildings. Two projects in the city originally planned to be office space will now be built as luxury condos, and as much as two million square feet of existing office space has been removed from the market in order to be made-over for luxury housing and hotels.
