Older people, vegetarians urged to increase B12 intake

Vitamin B12 deficiency is becoming more widespread in the population and experts are advising older adults and vegetarians to take supplements of the vitamin. As many as one-fifth of Americans over age 60 have low levels of B12 in their blood, according to new research.
