FDA establishes nanotechnology task force

The FDA announced it has established a nanotechnology task force to study regulation of the products, including possible adverse health effects and how to address potential knowledge and policy gaps in the field. "As this exciting new area of science develops, FDA must be positioned to address both health promotion and protection challenges that it may present," FDA acting commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach said.
