Report recommends anti-fraud measures for EMRs

RTI International says HHS must boost its anti-fraud features for health IT and medical billing. The contractor gave a report to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and listed 14 features that it said should be implemented into the EMR system. One-third of the recommendations aren't currently in use and 45% exist in current or planned criteria but would require modifications, according to the report.
