Bank of England to downgrade forecast of economic growth

After surprising markets by expanding its quantitative-easing program, the Bank of England is set to lower its growth forecast for 2009. The central bank will repeat its view that the economy is close to bottoming out, but it expects recovery to be subdued. The revision is based on weaker GDP figures.
