China's monetary policy remains "relaxed," premier says

Joining a list of policymakers who want to assure investors that China is not considering tightening its monetary policy, the country's highest-ranking economic official said the nation is standing by its "relatively relaxed monetary policy." Premier Wen Jiabao also said China will continue its stimulus spending, saying boosting domestic demand has proven difficult and that export markets are still plunging.
