EPA relaxes "Buy America" requirement for water projects

The EPA will allow some water infrastructure projects funded by the stimulus package to use materials and parts made outside of the U.S. The EPA's waiver applies to "de minimis incidental components" of eligible water infrastructure projects. Parts that receive the waivers cannot comprise more than 5% of the total cost of materials used in a project.
