GM-eBay program lets car buyers wheel, deal online

General Motors is teaming with eBay to pilot a program that allows buyers to view around 20,000 vehicles at 225 California GM dealerships and negotiate a price online. GM expects to invest "some fairly significant media dollars" in hawking the new site and is "predisposed" to taking the program national at some point, said GM sales chief Mark LaNeve.
