Gulf Coast algae farms could produce sustainable biofuel

Paul Woods, CEO of Algenol Biofuels, foresees a day when algae farms will span hundreds of acres south of Freeport, Texas, using carbon dioxide from nearby refineries and chemical plants to make ethanol. Algenol and Dow Chemical plan to build a $50 million pilot plant to test Algenol's technology.
