Indian fighter jet trials to start this week

Boeing Co. reportedly will be the first to show off its capabilities when Indian military officials begin assessing the top six competitors for a $12 billion fighter jet contract. After Boeing displays the capabilities of its F/A-18 Superhornet, Lockheed Martin Corp.'s F-16 will be next on the agenda, according to an unnamed official. India expects the trials to last more than a year in the southern city of Bangalore.
