A virtual reality exhibit at a recent conference gave attendees a glimpse at the colors and sounds that only animals can perceive. Researchers from Texas A&M University showed viewers what it would be like to sense very high- and very low-range noises, as well as ultraviolet light. Future versions of the exhibit may educate viewers about senses humans don't have, like a shark's ability to perceive electric fields.
