A year after a midair collision between a small plane and helicopter over the Hudson River, some progress in safety has been made, writes the Record. Teterboro Airport in New Jersey has not had any safety investigations in a year, and the number of air traffic controllers in the state has remained steady. However, air traffic controllers still make a lower salary in New Jersey compared with Philadelphia and Atlanta.
