Florida inland port aims to capitalize on shipping growth

Lake City, Fla. -- at the crossroads of two major highways and near the port of Jacksonville -- is making plans for an inland port. The town plans to build a 500-acre industrial site connected to rails and highways that are in turn linked to ports across the state. A major expansion of the Panama Canal is expected to push more shipping traffic to the East Coast.
