TIGER grant program offers hope as project funds run out

The federal government's Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery, or TIGER, grant program offers a chance at new projects, even as state and local construction funds run out in Oregon. About $600 million is available, but nationwide competition for the funding is tight. In Oregon, contractors are watching and waiting as funding for their projects wanes.
