Why Singapore's executives should think global

As one of the few Singaporean executives to gain a seat in a global boardroom, former McKinley director Hsieh Tsun-yan says he's learned the value of gaining international experience. To cultivate world-class leaders, Singapore's executives "must go work in some global champion or institution," Hsieh says. Once a critical mass of Singaporean leaders get a foothold on the global stage, he adds, it will only be a matter of time until one of them secures a CEO spot at a major multinational.
