Cactus garden thrives at a Washington zoo

The Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Wash., has created a cactus garden that has been able to withstand the region's wet climate. The garden contains the prickly pear and the cholla cacti, interspersed with Yucca and agave. The plants are watered for only five minutes each week, zoo horticulturist Bryon Jones said.
