French government is determined to maintain triple-A rating

The French government announced that it will adhere to its deficit-reduction plan as part of an effort to keep its triple-A credit rating. France "won't deviate one iota from its public-finance balancing plans," said Budget Minister Valerie Pecresse. The announcement comes as the cost of insuring France's sovereign debt against default reaches a record level.
