Study: Physical activity can stave off peripheral artery disease

People who reported no regular recreational activity were at 1.5 times greater risk of peripheral artery disease than those who reported high levels of recreational activity, according to a study in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. Researchers examined 1,381 patients who were referred for elective coronary angiography.
