Taipei 101 is tallest green building on earth

The 1,666-foot tall Taipei 101 has been awarded LEED Platinum, making it the world's tallest green building. Water and energy conservation play a major role in the skyscraper as does minimizing waste. The building is one of many that qualify for Taiwan's own Green Building Label, something that all government buildings are required to attain. In total, that means more than 661,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions will be cut from all GBL buildings each year.
