Texas lawn care company shifts from lawns to irrigation

The dry, warm weather in Brazos Valley, Texas, has led Green Acres Irrigation to increase its business in irrigation systems, as a lack of rainfall means fewer lawns need to be mowed, owner Colby Burns said. "Lawn maintenance last year, I had probably double what I have this year. We were averaging probably 70 to 80 lawns a week; this year we are averaging about 25 to 30," he said.
