Americans realizing benefits of whole grains

Carb-restricted diets are helping many Americans learn whole grains are more nutritious than refined foods, but the author argues food manufacturers do not make it easy to determine if a product contains whole grains. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is set to reveal new dietary guidelines next year with more emphasis expected to be on whole grains.
