GM, foreign automakers tout banner sales

With its "Employee Discount for Everyone" campaign, General Motors sold 530,027 new cars and trucks in July, which is a 20% increase over July 2004. However, the U.S. automaker's success was matched by Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, which claimed July was their "best month ever."
