Liberty Media may be mulling stock swap for AOL's dial-up unit

The Financial Times reports that Liberty Media's John Malone is considering swapping Time Warner shares for AOL's dial-up business. Time Warner's chief executive Jeff Bewkes said last week the company was prepared to split AOL's Internet access operation from the online advertising platform, so Liberty Media's interest now improves the prospect for a competitive auction.
