Marriage foes drop bid to change title of Calif. ballot measure

The California marriage ban will be titled on the November ballot as a question that "eliminates [the] right of same-sex couples to marry" after the anti-marriage-rights group behind it decided not to appeal the wording to the state Supreme Court. The group objected to the wording, which was amended by Attorney General Jerry Brown after the state's high court in May ruled in favor of equal marriage rights, but two lower courts backed Brown's description as being accurate, according to this article.
