Mass. district leader resigns amid reported airing of improprieties

Controversial Arlington, Mass., superintendent Nate Levenson, after having signed a three-year contract renewal, has issued a letter of resignation. Per this article, Levenson on Thursday in a closed-door meeting with the board allegedly revealed "certain improprieties that had occurred in 2007." The committee in a subsequent statement said the meeting with Levenson persuaded them that retaining him would be "untenable."
