Although indie shop Modernista continues to work with major clients, including Cadillac and Hummer, the innovative agency increasingly is focusing on branding, strategy and other consulting for clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, BusinessWeek and rock super group U2. "This business is no longer about just creating things," said co-founder Gary Koepke. "It's about conceptualizing ideas -- kind of like a think tank."
