Navy praises Lockheed's VH-71 helicopter program

The Navy recently expressed strong optimism for Lockheed Martin's VH-71 helicopter program. It also noted that it caused some initial problems by expecting too much too quickly. The Navy's remarks could help Lockheed's bid for CSAR-X search-and-rescue helicopter. The Pentagon inspector general is now investigating the award of the CSAR-X contract to Boeing. Lockheed and Sikorsky won their protests of the contract award.
