Australia moves to save dying languages

Australian authorities have pledged nearly $8 million to aid the conservation of more than 100 indigenous languages on the verge of extinction. The funds will be applied to translation services as well as child testing. The money also will go toward gauging the feasibility of establishing a national aboriginal languages center.
