Panasonic, NEC add handsets to Linux line

The LiMo Foundation has disclosed that Panasonic and NEC have introduced nine cell phones that can use its open-source Linux-based software. LiMo, which also said that it had added Japanese carrier KDDI and touch-screen maker Immersion to its ranks, has drawn little support from top-tier handset makers, even those that are members of the nonprofit group.
