Violations of consumer regulations result in fines for airlines

The Department of Transportation recently levied fines against Hawaiian Airlines and US Airways for failing to disclose flights that were being operated through a code-sharing agreement. Meanwhile, the DOT penalized Continental Airlines for not fully disclosing the full price consumers would have to pay through its fare advertisements.
