Analysts see little hope for building-integrated solar

Building-integrated photovoltaics are looking like a less attractive option for green-building projects at the moment, some experts say. They say that the BIPVs offer less efficiency at a higher price than rival systems. Analysts say the unobtrusive technology, once touted as the next big thing in distributed solar generation, will struggle until at least 2012 as companies seek to drive down prices and boost the built-in panels' efficiency.
