California lawmakers vote to delay $11.1B water bond

Major water projects are on hold in California after lawmakers voted to delay a $11.1 billion water bond intended to fund the long-awaited upgrades. Among the delayed projects are $3 billion worth of water-storage projects and $2.3 billion worth of levee improvements in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta.
