LaHood envisions bullet trains nationwide in 25 years

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood pledged that the nation will see high-speed rail sooner than expected. He envisions that 85% of the planned bullet-train corridors will be running within 25 years. "We don't know where the lines will fall on a map or where the money will come from, but I promise you in less time than it took to create our interstates, the country will have high-speed rail," he said.
