Superman has helped a struggling family beat bankers and stay in their foreclosed home. The family was packing up and preparing to leave their home when they discovered an old comic in the basement; it turned out to be a rare copy of the first-ever Superman comic, valued at more than $250,000. Now bankers have given the family permission to stay in their home while they sell off the antique comic. "You couldn't have asked for a happier ending," says a comic broker involved in the deal. "Superman saved the day."
