California is headed for a workers' compensation crisis because of skyrocketing benefit costs, writes John Kabateck, NFIB/California, who urges the state's gubernatorial candidates to focus attention on the issue. "Confidence is the shot in the arm employers need to regain their footing and become job creators again," he writes. "But uncertainty about a fundamental business cost as workers' compensation insurance, clouded further by politics, could shatter that confidence."
