Samsung sees new apps as more than just a cosmetic touch

Samsung is trying to jump-start its nascent software application business and lure buyers to its phones with its Samsung Apps online store. "Samsung will increase mobile-phone sales and add value for its mobile customers through the availability of carefully selected applications," said Executive Vice President Lee Ho-soo. The most recent app entry: "Makeup Beauty," a makeover app.
