On-time performance boosts financial performance at United

United Airlines says its improved on-time performance was a result of continued focus on execution, schedule adjustments and recovery following weather events. Scott Dolan, senior vice president for airport operations says, "We can't break down how much of our current financial performance is due to [on-time performance], but we know it has a major impact," he says, noting that being on time is especially important with "schedule-sensitive, high-yield business travelers."
