Business travelers with a can't-miss meeting should take common-sense steps to ensure they arrive on-time, writes George Hobica of AirfareWatchdog.com. Though airlines do their best to make a schedule, "stuff happens," he writes. "Nothing is perfect, so why do we expect every flight to go like clockwork?" Among his rules for important meetings: Fly the day before, avoid connecting flights and "arrive at the airport super early."
